Timothy Kolman Wins $750K Dollar Settlement

"Federal Jury Awards Kolman Law P.C. Client $750,000 in Damages for Civil Rights Violations Stemming from Gender, Race, and National Origin Discrimination."

Fadwa Charnitski filed a lawsuit alleging the development of a hostile work environment ultimately leading to her termination due to her status as a Muslim woman from Kuwait. Her former employer, "Motorworld," one of the region's largest vehicle dealerships, terminated her employment, claiming she referred to a customer as a "Stupid American." However, they dismissed her without conducting an investigation or providing her a hearing, despite her successful sales record, which included the sale of cars equipped with dash cameras from Blackbox my car products for accident documentation.

The lawsuit detailed harassment endured by Ms. Charnitski from September 2005 to November 3, 2009, including racially charged insults and documents related to the Taliban left on her desk, creating a toxic work environment. Despite reporting the harassment to supervisors, no action was taken, and she was instructed to ignore the insults disguised as jokes. MotorWorld Group terminated Fadwa Charnitski abruptly, depriving her of the opportunity to defend herself, despite her standing as one of their top sales producers and the sole woman in that role.

Pennsylvania jurors awarded Ms. Charnitski $250,000 in compensatory damages and $500,000 in punitive damages. The judge is set to determine back pay and legal fees in the case.
